This just in from Jack Molodanof.
No joke Under AB 1003, employers could face one to three years of jail time for failing to pay employee wages. The bill makes employers' intentional theft of wages punishable as grand theft if the amount is greater than $950.00. Wage theft would shift from being a civil violation to a potential misdemeanor or felony charge. See link below to copy of the bill. I am following up with the CA Business Chamber and other groups to coordinate.
